Greetings from the Assistant Principal

Hello to Beiseker Community School and our surrounding community! As the Assistant Principal of BCS, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and tell you a litlte about my background in education.

I started my teaching career with Rocky View Schools 12 years ago at Bert Church High School as an English teacher, working with grades 9-12. I was fortunate to have worked with some of the first research projects bringing iPods and iPads to education in our division, and shared this research with our own teachers and at conferences in both the US and across Alberta. I also was part of a University of Lethbridge mentorship program, where I supported teachers on transitioning teaching practice and using technology effectively in the classroom. It was as part of this program that I completed my Master of Education degree.

Most recently before my appointment to BCS, I taught grade 4 at Nose Creek Elementary School. I worked closely with teachers and administration in bringing new technology into the school and learning about literacy development in the younger grades. I am a devoted life-long learner and work hard to ensure that all of our decisions in the school put students first. I look forward to working alongside you in service of our students and community.
